First Post from West Virginia

After a long trip Sunday we finally arrived in Morgantown.  Packing the car took longer than expected and then we were delayed by an accident in WV that had all lanes blocked.  We made it to town about 10:30 pm.  As of now we are still waiting on our moving truck to arrive.  I expect it will be Saturday before we can start nesting.

We absolutely love our new place.  Despite the street parking and stairs it was a great find.  The neighbors are very friendly and it is a fabulous neighborhood.  The dogs love the fenced in backyard and we love the deck and established garden.  This will be our first garden by ourselves - not sure how it will work out without Philip's guidance.  Tomatoes, red bell peppers and cucumbers are established.  We are adding squash and onions today.

Yesterday we visited Cooper's Rock State Park.  We drove through on one of our visits so we knew it would be a great place to visit.  Yesterday we took the dogs and went on a short walk.  It was 90+ degrees in town but the time we made it to the trail (just 10 minutes away) it was much cooler - or at least it felt that way.  The trees provided great shade and the dogs loved it.  Lily could not focus on walking for all of the chipmunks and other creatures moving in the woods near us (nothing scary, that we noticed).
